Energy Psychology

Energy Psychology

Energy psychology theory proposes that psychological problems reflect disturbed bio-energetic patterns within the mind-body system. Therefore, to address these issues, practitioners combine cognitive interventions with simultaneous stimulation of one or more human bio-energy systems, for example, meridians from Chinese medicine and chakras from Ayurvedic medicine.

In addition, one prominent therapeutic approach, known as the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), incorporates elements of cognitive therapy and exposure therapy. Furthermore, it combines these with acupressure through tapping on 12 acupuncture points.

Subsequently, over 20 clinical trials—published in peer-reviewed medical and psychology journals—have demonstrated that EFT effectively treats phobias, anxiety, depression, PTSD, pain, and other problems.

Another prominent approach involves the balancing of chakra energy. Initially, the chakras are considered the body’s primary entry points for life energy. Moreover, their main function is to draw in this energy, thereby maintaining balance in the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical health of the body.

Consequently, any disturbance in the chakras can lead to physical problems, in addition to emotional and mental issues. Therefore, by restoring balance to the chakra energy, individuals can significantly improve both their physical and emotional health.
